To make meaningful and sustainable progress toward gender equality, companies need to go beyond table stakes. That’s according to the latest Women in the Workplace report from McKinsey & Co., in partnership with LeanIn.org. 

Now, companies are struggling to hold on to the relatively few women leaders they have. And all of these dynamics are even more pronounced for women of color. There are always winners and losers in the war for talent, and the stakes are higher than ever for companies that want to achieve gender equality.

What does this mean for Latina leaders? Latinas make up just 1.6% of senior executives in this country so this “Great Breakup” is sure to have an impact on the board pipeline.
