That’s why I’m so thrilled to once-again bring together one of the most powerful networks of US Latinos and supporters for our 6th Annual LCDA Board Leaders Convening designed as a hybrid event – in-person and streaming – November 3-5, in San Francisco, CA. LCDA’s great partner TPG will serve as Host of the 2021 Convening. We thank KPMG for their tremendous support as the Presenting Partner and Diamond Founding Partner!
LCDA’s Annual Board Leaders Convening is the most prominent gathering of Latino corporate leadership and extended network of search firms, private equity, institutional investors, and corporate partners – together with the premier LCDEF BoardReady Institute (BRI), taking place prior to the convening.

Improving Corporate Governance Through Diversity Act of 2021
On July 16, the U.S. House passed the Improving Corporate Governance Through Diversity Act of 2021, companion bill to Senator Menendez's S.374, which would help investors accomplish greater diversity in corporate board rooms by requiring public companies to report the voluntary, self-identified racial, ethnic, gender identity, and sexual orientation composition of their board members and executive officers in their annual proxy statement and establishing a Diversity Advisory Group at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The bill, sponsored by Rep. Meeks, was added as an amendment to H.R.1187, the Corporate Governance Improvement and Investor Protection Act, sponsored by Rep. Carolyn Maloney, which passed by a vote of 215 to 214. The Senate Banking Committee has not yet scheduled action on S.374. We will keep you updated on the bill's progress.
