LCDEF Webinars | Latino Board Tracker | Member Spotlight | LCDA News

Greetings LCDA Familia,

IN THIS TIME OF CRISIS & SOCIAL UNREST, THE SAME OLD WILL NOT WORK.

With the pandemic impacting lives, livelihood, and the business world—plus the massive social unrest calling for an end to systemic racism and inequality in our society, current events have laid bare the need for comprehensive, sustained solutions and vigilant leadership to achieve real results.

The same old will not work! As research from McKinsey & Company demonstrates, diverse teams contribute to better performance. Plus, diverse leaders serve as an advantage in navigating the next normal. With LCDA advancing diversity in the boardroom, we are responding to this moment by making it possible for global organizations to better adapt while staying relevant and connected to their workforce, clients, and the communities they serve.

Taking the lead from our Board Chair, Roel Campos, LCDA in integrating these important themes as part of our 2020 Board Leaders Convening Reimagined: Leading in a Time of Crises and Recovery. In the statement that he issued last week, Roel stated, “Diversity and Inclusion are at the core of who we are at the LCDA. We believe that our nation faces a moral imperative to address long-standing racism and inequality. LCDA will lead sessions on how directors and executives can best help in positively contributing to these complex topics. I and LCDA Members will be staunch allies in finding impactful ways to contribute to the work of building a more just and equitable society.” Keep an eye out for more details on these sessions to follow.

Stay safe and healthy,
