LCDA applauds Bank of America’s recent announcements and critical investments to advance an inclusive society. Bank of America has made a $25 million commitment for the newly-formed initiative with the Smithsonian titled, “Race, Community and Our Shared Future” which will explore how Americans currently understand, experience, and confront race, its impact on communities and how that impact is shaping the nation’s future. Plus, Bank of America has announced a $1 Billion, four-year commitment of additional support to help local communities address economic and racial inequality accelerated by a global pandemic that disproportionately impacts communities of color. To highlight their values and progress through responsible growth, in 2019, Bank of America released their inaugural and comprehensive Human Capital Management Report.
Thanks to Bank of America’s early support, LCDA has expanded operations and increased membership, which includes among the most accomplished and respected leaders in corporate America. As part of an expanded 2020 partnership between LCDA and Bank of America, LCDA is pleased to be one of the partners on this collective work to advance racial equality and economic opportunity, including bringing thought leaders from across the LCDA network to advance ideas and actions on these important topics.
Equilar today announced phase two of the Equilar Diversity Network (EDN) initiative. LCDA is proud to be one of over twenty organizations focused on driving diverse representation in corporate boardrooms. “The Equilar Diversity Network supports our mission to increase LatinX representation in the boardroom. We are eager to partner on this data-driven approach to drive actionable goals and outcomes. The consortium we have formed is committed to driving meaningful change. The time is now, and it is even more crucial for boards to act.
