10th Annual Board Leaders Convening |
LCDA returned to California—where our first Convening was held in 2016—to celebrate a decade of elevating corporate leadership, strengthening governance, celebrating community, and reshaping boardrooms across America. |
Over 300 Members, CEOs, directors, and corporate partners gathered in San Francisco for three days of strategic dialogue, peer exchange, celebration, and forward-looking insights on the issues shaping modern governance. From the release of the 2025 Board Insights to headline conversations with Mellody Hobson, Fernando Aguirre, Linda Findley, and others, the event reflected the growing influence and national reach of LCDA.
Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, KPMG, and Emerald Sponsor, Diligent, for their partnership in making this landmark event possible. |
Celebrating Exemplary Partnerships: 2025 Corporate Visionary Awards
During the Convening, LCDA hosted the annual Corporate Visionary Awards recognizing partners that exemplify forward-looking governance and partnership. This year’s honorees— Wells Fargo, TPG, and Heidrick & Struggles —represent leadership at its best.
The evening celebrated organizations that embody LCDA’s mission to advance boardroom excellence, demonstrating how strong oversight, sound judgment, and forward-thinking governance drive sustained business performance.
A special highlight of the evening was the introduction of LCDA’s first-ever Chair’s Award. Presented by LCDA Board Chair José R. Rodríguez, the award honored Susan Angele, LCDEF Board Member and Senior Advisor of Board Governance, KPMG Board Leadership Center, in recognition of her exceptional leadership, longstanding service, and a transformative partnership model that has significantly expanded LCDA’s reach and impact.

LCDA advanced a significant milestone in our collective effort to strengthen board leadership nationwide. LCDA joined Change the Board Game, an initiative founded by e.l.f. Beauty to accelerate representation in US corporate boardrooms. This partnership reinforces LCDA’s ongoing commitment to preparing board-ready executives and opening pathways for the next generation of leaders through principled, forward-looking governance.
We were honored to spotlight this movement at LCDA’s 10th Annual Board Leaders Convening, where Tarang Amin, Chairman and CEO of e.l.f. Beauty, spoke to the responsibility—and opportunity—corporate leaders have to reshape boardrooms to reflect the markets and communities they serve. His remarks underscored both the urgency of this work and the role we each play in driving sustainable change from the top.
