Developing the Next Generation of Board Leaders

This year, LCDA hosted its 12th and 13th BoardReady Institute (BRI) programs—first in Dallas and most recently in Boston. These gatherings brought together accomplished executives, directors, and corporate partners for a rigorous, hands-on curriculum focused on fiduciary duties, strategic oversight, and boardroom leadership.

Featured speakers included LCDA leaders Antonio Garza, former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, Nina Vaca, award-winning entrepreneur, Joseph Alvarado, seasoned corporate executive with deep boardroom experience, and Brian Gonzalez, Executive in Residence, Jobs for The Future, who offered candid insights on governance in today’s complex landscape.

As LCDA’s flagship director readiness initiative, BRI continues to strengthen the pipeline of board-qualified talent and elevate leadership at the highest levels of corporate governance. To date, nearly 400 accomplished executives have completed the program, further advancing our community in America’s boardrooms.
